@TechnoBear you referenced the comment @AjitKhodke and asked about how infographics may be used to increase traffic. I’m sorry if that was a rhetorical question, but infographics are definitely one good way to increase traffic.
- Create a helpful, wonderful and compelling infographic. Be sure to include links to your site, and add watermark.
- Include your very helpful infographic in a blog post.
- Blast your blog post on all social media outlets available, and drive people to your website to see your wonderful infographic.
- Find other website owners/bloggers, etc., in your niche or field, contact them, tell them about your wonderful infographic and offer to let them use the infographic on their own blog post in exchange for linking it back to your site and giving you credit (that’s rather blunt, but I’m sure you understand how to professionally contact someone else and ask this).
Hopefully you’ll see your infographic out there running around the sites in your niche, and hopefully you’ll receive more traffic, customers, etc (plus backinks), from that infographic. Plus you’ll get your name out there as an “authority” in your field.
I’ve used this technique myself, and the benefit was worth the time.
