How many pages is Ideal for a website?

This is clearly wrong, but I welcome you to clarify this statement.

I would have thought that adding new links would always increase links, so that’s a pretty redundant statement. However, to make another redundant statement, adding hundreds of weak links will still make your site weak.

More is better. Facebook has 2.6 billion pages in Google index. Of course the content must be good/unique.

That’s misleading as I wouldn’t characterize Facebook as a typical website, and the content isn’t related to a specific topic. That’d be like counting each of SitePoint’s thread topics as pages - it’s flawed logic.

Search engines are like fresh content. If you have update more pages with unique content regularly then it’s very easy to crawl your website with daily basis and produce more traffic.

Thanks

i think you can add many pages.Search engine index your page if and only if your content is unique. And you can get the best traffic if you proper optimize your all the pages of your website.

That’s all very well if you’ve got the sort of site where you can continue to expand it, and if you have the time to do so. But realistically, for most sites that’s going to be a struggle … in terms of finding the time and enough new topics to keep writing about. Most sites will reach a plateau where there is little need or benefit to expanding them further regularly.

The much number of pages that Google indexes that much of traffic as well as benefit you will get. So, it is better to keep posting regularly in your site with interesting topic without any plagiarism content. That will surely help you for SEO and in generating regular traffic. If your pages are really so good then you can expect natural social bookmarking by web users. So, its all depend on the content that you hold. Thanks.

I think you can build many pages as long as your page contents is creative and unique!
