Following up with Dave’s last note, in the examples that I posted, the first two are considered “relative” paths and the last one is the “absolute” or “root relative” path.

Don’t let yourself get caught up in the popular mistake of referring to a URL as an absolute path.

By definition, a URL is an address… like the address on an envelope… not a path. It tells the internet where you want to go, not how to get there. The “internet” determines the appropriate path to take to reach that destination (and that path may change at any time as network conditions change).
