I don’t know gsap, so I can’t give you a definitive answer. It may well be that the environment HTML, CSS etc needs to be setup right to get the best out of it. I’m just guessing here.
I had the same problem, I had to configure HTML correctly, CSS tried other ways but unfortunately it did not help, I finally configured and you managed to do it, I advise you to do it
