Excluding wp-admin folder from statistics

My WordPress sites are working great, but my daily statistics are nearly meaningless because they include hits on “non-pages,” mostly in the directory wp-admin. For example, here are the top five hits from one of my sites (as gleaned from Awstats):

xmirpc.php
(home page)
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
/wp-admin/post.php
/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

How do most WordPress users deal with this? Is there a way to fix this, so my statistics only display hits on real pages?

Thanks.
