Background image taller than the viewport

Frets JSfiddle doesn’t appear to be doing that? What browser?

Frets should work exactly as you want.

I’m using Firefox - latest version. His JSfiddle is doing the same thing. I scroll down to the bottom of the image, and then it pops right back up to the top. But you’re right - it does work in Chrome.

I think I figured it out. Try this new jsfiddle.

It had an issue with background-position-y and it not recognizing that property/rule being set in jquery.

Background-position-x/y is something IE started and Chrome copied but it’s not standard. Firefox doesn’t support it.

Works perfectly now. Thanks!

Just to confirm, I am a teacher (of English as a foreign language), but not a woman.

You are teaching english?! Figured you’d be in it/web or teaching js!

Not as much as I used to. I primarily work in IT now, but the teaching gig is too lucrative to give up. Plus it’s nice to get away from the PC now and again and talk to intelligent people face-to-face.
