Are the pieces of content considered as Duplicate Content?

I’ve a local tour website, it has tour itinerary day by day for every tour page. They’re almost the same, for example:

  • Tour 4 nights / 5 days
  • Tour 6 nights / 7 days
From day-1 to day-4, these two tours have same itinerary description (I’ve more tours).

I’ve checked other big tour websites are the same to me. And Tour Inclusion & Exclusion & Cancellation are also almost the same for every tour page.

Are these considered to Duplicate Content?

Hello! I suppose that cannot be considered as a duplicate content (based on my own experience) since this is not written in paragraph form. I’ve written articles for a travel blog before and most of the times I just copy or revise these details as long as they convey the same idea…

A content can only be considered as duplicate if it has at least same 3 words… Even copyscape follow this rule whenever they check plagiarized contents…

But then again, this is just my own opinion… Hope this helps!

Unless it is not practically possible for you to write unique content for all the pages, it is absolutely fine. But surely there will be some scope of adding some unique content on these pages. Mind sharing the website?

@UserFire03 Thanks for sharing, anyway I’ve no idea! Let’s check with other.

@Zubair_Abbas Thanks for your ideas. My website is under construction. This website and links below is my best example (I follow its structure.).

  1. audleytravel.com/cambodia/itinerary-ideas/treasures-of-angkor
  2. audleytravel.com/cambodia/itinerary-ideas/classic-cambodia

These two links are my cover my question here.
Could you pleased check these two itineraries (DAY BY DAY)? I can’t put two links in this post, please copy them.

This looks good. Nothing wrong here!

@Zubair_Abbas, thanks for checking. At day-1 and day-2 of these two journeys are the same, right? But for my site, I may have day-1 to day-4 of two journeys are the same. Is it fine?

Since that is your offering, there’s no way you can change the content. In fact even you try to write same offering in different ways it might irritate customers.

You can rather write more descriptive highlights to have an edge.

That seems to me a very strange comment. Duplicate content is duplicate content, whether it’s written as paragraphs, a list a table or whatever.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about here. Duplicate content is when you have whole pages with identical content, or with very minor changes like the name of a city.

The very nature of your business means that some aspects will be the same for many or all of your trips, and that is fine. If I were a tourist looking to book trip, I would want to see the exact same description for a visit to the same location on two different tours. Then I can decide between them, knowing that either will let me see the same aspects of that location, and I can make my choice based on the clear differences in the itinerary.

Exactly, that’s what I said.

@Zubair_Abbas, I get it. Thanks for sharing.

pieces of content does not matters. if the same content (paragraph) is used in multiple sites then it will be considered as duplication. as per your thread, the information you provided seems to the basic necessary information, so there will be no issues with it.
