Who should read this book?
PHP Master is written for the intermediate developer. This means you should have a solid grounding in the fundamentals of PHP, the syntax underpinning the code, how functions and variables operate, constructs like foreach loops and if/else statements, and how server-side scripts interact with client-side markup (with HTML forms, for instance).
A basic understanding of what databases are and how they work will help you along, but we’l be covering ways of connecting to them in great depth, as well as stepping through the world of SQL, the most popular query language used to interact with information in a database. A familiarity with command line interfaces and their associated vocabularies will be of assistance in the later chapters.

“The book deals with several high-level concepts such as design patterns, OOP, security, and performance tuning. Yet, it maintains easy-to-read language throughout itself. Also, it displays many code examples to demonstrate the topic at hand. I enjoyed reading it and will keep it as a reference.”
“Been programming in PHP for a while but mostly straight up coding. I had been needing to delve into the OOP and Web Services realm for a while for some projects and this book really got me up to speed quickly. And for those of us who have been unable to go back for much needed classes, the chapter on design patterns was very educational!”
“Great book. Great price. Easy to read & undestand. The book sure help to enhance my skill sets at work.”
