I’m having serious troubles finding a windows based asset management or what’s sometimes referred to as DAM management ( digital asset).
My criteria:
- Desktop based …no cloud or internet based! ( unless they have a desktop client)
- Windows
- Deep tag/keyword support and search
- Multiple file support ( not just media)
- Remote access would be nice but not 100% needed.
- Flat file or database
So far all the solutions I have found are either for Mac’s or cost upwards of 5k$. For instance the one I really like is 6k and costs 350$ a year per user, that’s way out of my ballpark atm ( Extensis portfolio server 9).
In fact Extensis portfolio version 8.5 for desktop seems to be one the only affordable apps out there and it’s outdated.
My price range is well below that, I would pay up to 400-500$ for one that is stellar.
Why do you guys use for large amounts of assets?
Ps. Please do not say windows explorer:)
