Thanks for the request, Dave.

Including chapter markers would require us to release a separate, “iTunes/iPod Enhanced” version of the podcast in AAC audio format, in addition to the MP3 version we currently provide. We’d have to know there was sufficient demand before going to the trouble to produce this.

Would anyone else like an enhanced version of the podcast?

Sound quality could be much better. One moment they can be heard, next moment not so well and I have my sound up as high as it will go.

Hi,

Firstly thanks for the podcasts. Useful information as always from you guys at Sitepoint.

Can I ask for one nice addition to the podcast ? I would find it usefull to have some kind of chapter marker included. As the conversation changes topic I sometimes miss things as I concentrate ! It would be nice to skip back to the start of that part of the conversation or say 20secs or something.

Hopefully that made sense !??!

Great work though, keep it up.

Awesome, the first Sitepoint podcast I've listened to, and just by chance, I got my name mentioned and one of my comments read. Pretty surprising.

Thanks for that Patrick, and thanks Digg as this is a sensible way forward for a start. Hopefully all the Google ranking issues will be worked out, although not getting this right to begin with shows a lack of attention to detail in my personal opinion.

with best regards,
Karn.

As a post note, Digg adjusted the way the DiggBar works while this show was waiting to go up:

http://blog.digg.com/?p=664

The DiggBar will only be shown if you are logged in to Digg.

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Kevin & team,

I have to agree with Kevin on the irritation of the Digg bar. This is so Digg! Trying to push themselves into everyone's view who doesn't like them, and making it more difficult than necessary for those who love it! Perverse in the extreme.
As I've commented before, I'm no fan of Digg, and this just makes my view more ingrained. That idea that to keep this bar out of view you have to create an account is reprehensible. You should be able to hold a cookie without an account. Not hard, but it would be less aggressive, and Digg are too aggressive when trying to get themselves involved in other's content.

The Twitter client I use, Nambu, has an attached url shortening service, but it doesn't try to hold users back from the intended url like Digg are. I will not involve any of my content in Digg in the foreseeable future.

I am however quite tempted to try using my own short url domain. Keeping control 'in house' is good!
Thanks for another informative podcast, and keep them coming!
