First of all, it's unclear how Yahoo can deliver "automated SEO". I like the all-in-one-seo plugin for wordpress but it does nothing to automatically change my content. The thought of a machine manipulating my human made content into machine engineered corrected content is somewhat repulsive. It reminds me of when a huge domain registrar automatically took my parked domains and "monitized" them for me. Some of my health related domains instantly became advertising hubs for synthetic heroine sales. Not what I had intended. But I encourage Yahoo to keep thinking...

efluence, no one says there are overnight pills. I don't understand how your comment is relevant to the article. Is there something I am missing?

I'd be worried also about the security implications of an external source being able to make changes to a site, particularly database-driven ones.

You're right, Lifecruiser. I think a good sequel to this article would actually be to get some statements from Yahoo! as to how they really plan to use this.

@obender - we have tons of automated SEO software - this is not the topic of the article.

Sounds complicated to get to work in an accepting manner and not the right road to take. Website/blog owners want as much control as they can have over their own site naturally. I really don't like the possibility of changed titles and URLs. Confusing and complicating things for sure.
