It’s a great idea but as said above the site is kind of empty. I got a bit of success by targeting my local area first and then building on that. Maybe some ads in the local paper would be worthwhile. Or even better, email this article to them and see if they’d be interested in doing a story on the site.

Thank you Josh for the WONDERFUL article about this site! I can’t thank you and Sitepoint enough for your support of this endeavor. Yes we are going to have a tough time getting people to sign up at first but I really think the idea will draw people to it and with the support of some GREAT forums I belong to (including Sitepoint) I think the membership and the ‘good Samaritans’ will soon poor in!

The only response I have to the line “The idea may seem over idealistic, and maybe it is.” .. I have been told there is a lot of John Lennon in me and I must quote him “You may say I’m the dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us ….

and we do hope all of you join us!

Great concept! Maybe he can recruit some friends and family to “seed” the site a bit so that it is somewhat less empty in feel.
