Awesome! They really thought ahead, and it's good... by the time that space flights are commercially regular, there will be a reliable and standardized communications network in place for them to use. Also, one very important thing which is one less thing for the spacecraft designers to have to worry about, since they'll (relatively speaking) only have to get the transciever system on their craft and plug it in to use it, maybe pay the system access fess... much less expensive and time-consuming than having to design it all from scratch including setting up a few extra satellites and/or ground antennas of their own.

Wonderful :D

I wonder if when the images arrived they had spyware attached? Or perhaps an annoying pop-up!? lol

It won't be long...

On a serious note - very cool. This will just be an integral piece of a much larger puzzle I imagine.

It's really great. We are waiting for it since a long. It will surely help the shuttle missions and ISS a lot. But the internet failures should be minimized. The research from electronics and space communication team may bring out some idea.
It's really nice for me as an amateur astronomer, mech engineer and web designer.
Thanks the whole team.
