Yes of course, what I'm asking is if people really will use this "new" Facebook feature, or if they're too used to Google already - both when it comes to the toolbar availability and that their brand is so incredibly strong regarding web search. :)

If you open up a new tab and visit Google you still leave Facebook in the sense that while you might still have the site open in another tab, the search ad dollars you're generating are going to Google. ;)

I'm not sure what's standard in browsers these days and maybe I'm underestimating the average surfer, but aren't toolbars in the browser used for searching already (and thus you don't have to "leave Facebook" - just open up a new tab at most)?

My experience with any search engines but Google is that they give too many irrelevant results. Also, to "Google it" has even kind of found its way into dictionaries, so i don't think MS will be very successful even if they're on Facebook. :)
