Yahoo lost this battle years ago when they opted for form over functionality. Remember the good old days of Google and Yahoo only being search engines? back when the 56k modem was just becoming standard to most and "old" to the cutting edge T1? Well, back then it was great to have a search engine that didn't load a ton of graphic intensive options at first search. Google has, and should always remain, a search bar on its main page. Yahoo has never had that ease of use, do to their over population of the main site. I think Yahoo lost the war back when they were competing with AOL for graphic "wow" factor. Now that same "wow" factor isn't found in the graphics and pop-ups but in the truly functional business and travel related software. Good luck Yahoo, but stop trying to simply copy other companies; be original, create tools for the future generation (AKA mobile), and you might have a chance.
