There is a new micro-blog that acts like Twitter, the main difference being no spam. This is because the purpose is to chat with friends you have and not to use it to form an online group of friends.

I'm pretty new to twitter. However, I've only had one person try to spam me. I really do feel unpopular!

That's a good thing. I only have about 65 followers but I am blocking at least one spammer a day for the last few weeks. Now I keep finding that when I go to block they are already suspended.
