An excellent post. I’ve seen a number of entries along these lines recently and _boy_ do a lot of guys who know web design really need help with their taxes/concept of same.

If you are still small, then maximize what you can to grow big, and if you’re big, well you won’t get that way unless you get professional help.

When you set out to be a web designer/site owner you are entering into a type of business, the time to get your taxes set up right is then and there, at the beginning.

I don’t think we have the individual 401k’s (called RRSPs) here in Canada, nor the need for Health savings account. Generally good tips though.

As of now, there are no plans to release the book in print. This could change in the future, but it’s up to SitePoint (not me) and it hasn’t been mentioned so far. Thanks for your interest and support!
