		<description>you can call functions which reside in the same CFC simple by invoking them. IE if you had a function called getCategories and you wanted to call it from your getArticles function you could just do &lt;code&gt;&lt;/code&gt;. Since you are already in the CFC you don&#039;t have to invoke the object. 

If you need to invoke a function which resides in another CFC you can either extend that 1 (yes you can only extend 1 CFC) or just simple invoke it from within the calling CFC.</description>

What is the best way to invoke a function from another function contained in the same CFC?
