As Jeremy said, using the proprietary innerHTML instead of DOM scripting is like using a sledge hammer rather than a finely crafted scalpel. As I see it, using a scalpel to make 10,000 precision cuts is not always the best method.

I've always had more fun with sledgehammers anyway.

Awesome wrap, Ian. Looking forward to more.

I enjoyed ‘How to Bluff Your Way in Dom Scripting‘ as well. The title was well chosen, I've yet to see the DOM explained so clearly, altough Keith's labeling of a CSS rule was weird. 'Setters' and 'Getters' as he called them, do have names in CSS; Selector and Declaration. I loved the examples given in the session, I think we have yet to explore many of the great ways we can apply DOM to documents. A great example was taking Eric Meyers idea of printing links one step further by grabbing all the links in a document, and outputting them as footnotes on the bottom of the document. Great Stuff.
