"This release brings the MySQL feature-set to the same competitive level as its peers both proprietary and open source"

please correct me if I'm wrong, but its still lacking full transaction support isn't it? I was/am under the impression rollback isn't going to be implemented?

MySQL 5 seems to have quite a jump in the number of features. I look foward to it.

ChrisB - it may not be precisely the same as the Oracle or MS SQL methods - but we already have transactional abilities in MySQL 4.1x and above using InnoDB tables. We can turn off autocommit - which runs by default in MySQL - and then either commit ro rollback inserts.

This has been in MySQL for a while, as bwarrene said.. You just need to use InnoDB Tables. :)
