Lightweight wrapper for Firebug console.log

By Sam Deering

Quick share of an easy way to do console.log’s while web developing. You can now just type log instead of console.log. Small change, big time saver.

Also see: Make it safe to use console.log always

// usage: log('inside coolFunc', this, arguments);
window.log = function f(){ log.history = log.history || []; log.history.push(arguments); if(this.console) { var args = arguments, newarr; args.callee = args.callee.caller; newarr = []; if (typeof console.log === 'object'), console, newarr); else console.log.apply(console, newarr);}};
