About

The world of work is a jungle?

We are convinced of that too! This is why we have created Welcome to the Jungle , the reference media dedicated to employment whose mission is to support each person in their professional development. We produce a lot of inspirational content like articles, video series, podcasts and many different event formats.

With Welcome to the Jungle, we have created a platform on which more than 3,000 companies from various sectors of activity are revealed. Each company communicates through exclusive content: photos of the premises, interviews with managers and employees, key statistics such as parity, average age, number of employees, etc. We allow companies to grow with employees who want to move in the same direction while sharing the same values.

We also provide recruiters with our own ATS “Welcome Kit”, a simple and intuitive application management tool. Recruiters can thus distribute their ads unlimited on their page and efficiently process all their applications in real time and in a collaborative manner.

Job description

We are looking for a front developer who is comfortable with our current front stack .

To make it very short: React / Redux / Styled Components (and probably React-Native in the future :))

We are ideally looking for a pixel-perfect lover, but above all someone interested in going even further with our products in order to:

1 / always offer the best possible experience

2 / scale up as much as possible our different platforms

Required profile

Welcome to the Jungle aspires to have a positive social impact, and pays particular attention to respecting diversity, inclusion and equity. Each application will be treated fairly and will be based on the skills and motivations of each.

You are our ideal profile if:

  • You have tested a lot of JS “frameworks”: Backbone / Ember / Angular JS / Vue JS / etc… Since then, without a doubt, React JS is your choice of choice for any JS application!
  • You like beautiful interfaces and you like to integrate them (in pure CSS, with Sass, using Styled Components (or Emotion): it doesn't matter to you as long as it is clean, that you save time and that it is pixel perfect)
  • You think before you code and you are pragmatic to the extreme!
  • You like clean code (tests, you know, and you are not afraid to ask them; Prettier & ESLint are your best allies!)
  • Yarn, Webpack and Babel are part of your daily life!
  • It motivates you: build (or rather continue to build) a fully real-time platform (used by 3000+ companies and thousands of recruiters at any given time; real time with thousands of objects on the same page is more complicated…!) and build the WTTJ of tomorrow and all that will revolve around it!

If your profile does not match 100% to this list of criteria, don't worry, if you are curious and passionate, your profile interests us!

Big more if:

  • You have already used a design system (ours is here: welcome-ui.com :))
  • You have already contributed to open-source projects
  • You are familiar with end-to-end testing (at WTTJ we use Cypress.io)
  • Have you ever used React Native or done mobile development?

The diplomas do not matter to us, we are looking for a web enthusiast, a relentless monitoring and gadgets of all kinds, someone who can present us a project of which he is proud.

In short, you understand, we are not looking for a simple developer confined to doing maintenance on our applications, we are looking for someone who wants to actively participate in the adventure!

NB: we are not closed to teleworking in full time!

Conduct of interviews

The CV is not mandatory if your LinkedIn profile is up to date.

  • Step 1: 45min call with Xavier
  • Step 2 Technical test
  • Step 3: Meetings with operational staff
