Senior Embedded Software Engineer Salary Package: Circa £70,000 per annum basic salary, plus benefits and bonus Location: West London Job Type: Full Time Overview: Senior Embedded Software Engineer required to join a dynamic and innovative team developing cutting-edge embedded software for space and satellite systems. This role is ideal for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in electronic engineering, working closely with hardware design. You will be responsible for developing low-level, real-time software solutions that are critical to high-reliability systems in sectors such as automotive, defense, and more. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop embedded software architectures for complex communications equipment Work closely with hardware engineers to design interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I2C. Develop high-quality, modular, and reusable embedded C software for bare-metal or FreeRTOS environments. Manage software requirements and ensure traceability using industry best practices. Participate in the full product lifecycle, from refining specifications to production. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, both locally and with international teams at the headquarters, to deliver high-performance, reliable software. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in embedded software development. Strong background in electronic engineering and experience working closely with hardware design engineers Proficiency in Embedded C and experience with bare-metal / FreeRTOS experience. Hands-on experience with designing and debugging digital and analog hardware interfaces. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
