Senior / Principal Machine Learning & AI Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a talented and motivated Principal or Senior AI Engineer with 8 years of software engineering experience and 3 years of AI Engineering experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing machine learning models and pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and solve new use cases. Key Responsibilities Spearhead cutting-edge generative AI model development Lead AI research initiatives, fostering innovation and the adoption of state-of-the-art AI techniques. Design breakthrough multimodal AI systems Drive complex AI research initiatives Built real solutions with a generative AI model Create novel few-shot and zero-shot learning techniques Implement advanced prompt engineering strategies Guide AI safety and ethical AI development Mentor senior engineering teams Develop and Deploy Advanced Language Models Implement LLMs and fine-tune them for specific use cases Optimize transformer architectures for improved performance and efficiency Create Generative AI Solutions Develop generative models for text, code, and potentially multimodal applications. Implement and improve text-to-text, text-to-image, or even text-to-video models Work on controllable text generation and content creation tools Hands-on development, productionize, and operate Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale Optimize and improve existing ML models for performance and accuracy Perform thorough data analysis to guide model development and feature engineering Work with other engineers and collaborate with different teams to identify and solve new use cases for different products Document processes, models, and experiments to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning, AI, and relevant technologies Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance Ensure all ML models and processes comply with data privacy and security standards Translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Develop scalable AI-driven products and services tailored to the retail and e-commerce industries Participation in research and innovation communities Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields 8 years of industry experience as a software engineer 3 years of Machine Learning experience Familiarity with recommendation systems and large language models such as Claude, AWS Bedrock, GPT4o, etc. Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and image recognition models Proficiency in coding with ML platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) Solid software engineering skills and understanding of software development practices and version control systems (e.g., Git) Strong understanding of basic ML techniques (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
