System Engineer

An Entertainment client based near Waterloo is looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days per week onsite, with the remaining time remote. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects with the potential for further extensions. Systems Engineer Key Project Details: Role: Systems Engineer Start Date: ASAP Location: London (Near Waterloo) - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite, rest remote) Rate: £350-£375/day (Outside IR35) Contract Length: Initial 3 months, with potential for extension Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities: Configure and manage enterprise monitoring systems, including creating host templates, custom monitors, and notifications. Handle configuration management and patch management tasks. Manage and integrate APIs. Work with Windows and Linux environments. Utilize PowerShell, Python, or Bash for scripting and automation. Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including AD/Entra, VMs, SQL, VNETs, Azure Site Recovery, and more. Work with network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, and HTTPS. Adhere to ITIL practices. Systems Engineer Key Skills & Experience: Strong experience with both Windows and Linux systems. Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise monitoring systems. Proficient in configuration management and patch management. Solid experience in API management and integration. Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and related services. Familiarity with network protocols and ITIL standards.
