Network Automation Developer

Wipro is looking for a Senior Network Automation Developer to work in the UK on a permanent basis, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining service intents that are instantiated our clients network. Our Network serves residential, business and mobile customers. These intents are deployed on multivendor network infrastructure, using our current strategic tools “Itential IAP” to provide Service catalogues and “Cisco NSO” as our primary SDN controller. We also still have legacy SDN controllers that we will migrate away from over time. We re looking for someone who can work closely with our internal customers to translate their required outcomes into service catalogue items using agile methodologies. What you’ll do: The purpose of this role is providing technical leadership within your assigned development squad ensuring the following points are addressed. Other duties include: Providing support and direction to the developers to ensure they meet the objective of the Jira story’s and produce quality code. Working in conjunction with lead developer and PO to design service intents that meet the customers outcomes. Ensure that the VMO2 strategy set by the architects and Lead developer is followed. Feed into a cycle of continuous improvement. What you’ll bring: Excellent communication skill (both written and verbal) (M) Interaction with external stake holders / Customers Leadership skills as will be responsible for ensuring technical authority over the dev squad. (M) Contribute to the technical design / discussion. (M) Ability to embrace changes. Ability to identify and realise improvement opportunities. Excellent networking skill (L2 VPN, L3 VPN, EVPN, MPLS, SR, LDP, BGP and IGP) (M) Cisco NSO service creation (services and actions) Experience using workflow engine example Itential IAP Competent in Unix (REHL, Centos) Python coding skills (M) Competent at service modelling in Yang (M) Competent in XML / JSON /YAML Working knowledge NETCONF / REST / RESTCONF / SOAP (M) Working knowledge of Source control tools e.g., GitLab. (M) Working knowledge of containerisation (Docker Kubernetes) Ability to visualise customer requirements into a sequence of automatable steps (sequence diagram workflow diagram Jira stories). (M) Working appreciation of agile methodologies (scrum) Familiar with using CI/CD development approach.
