Job Overview

WMI is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to support and oversee all phases of disaster housing projects. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-driven with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all phases of project execution, from planning to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate logistics, including transportation, site preparation, and installation of manufactured housing.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates for senior management.
  • Support day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management software.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with a drive to succeed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
