Category Officer - Kent (Hybrid) - £32,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience) We have been engaged by a Public Sector client to source a Category Officer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Facilities Management Category Manager supporting procuring and mobilising new FM contracts in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the forthcoming Procurement Act. Key Responsibilities: Assist with contract management/SRM Support Category Manager in developing new approaches to procurement strategy/analysis Support with the design and promotion of local strategies to maximise partnership opportunities across the Public Sector. Provide support and advice on Procurement Service Orders relating to all aspects of the procurement process Essential Skills: Experience working in a similar role with proven savings and efficiency outcomes Proven experience working within the Facilities Management category Knowledge and commercial experience of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 Knowledge of the Purchase to Pay process/lifecycle In job experience in applying supplier and contract management processes Excellent data analysis and gathering skills Strong negotiation and influencing skills Ability to network and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Beneficial Skills: Knowledge of JCT contract suite NEC 3/4 contract suite experience - preferably professional services Knowledge of CAFM systems (Computer Awareness Facilities Management) Experience of the government Find to Tender service Keen to work towards achieving CIPS membership (funded by the employer) Wemention. is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
