WeDoData are working with a multi academy trust in London who have a group of 9 schools South of the river - 4 secondary and 5 primary. The trust are now looking to take on an IT Technician, which will be based in their newest secondary school in central London - with infrequent support in other schools required when necessary (for sick/holiday cover). The trust has a supportive IT team of 17 including a service delivery team and an infrastructure team who will support you in your role. The trust is IT driven and are in the process of moving over to cloud based systems and have a Windows 11 rollout in the pipeline. The trust also has access to the Microsoft Learning Academy which staff can utilise for continued training & development. The role You will be providing 1st & some 2nd line support to staff and students around the school, in a helpdesk environment but with frequent walk in's and boots on the ground support throughout the school. You will be working closely with the trust IT team and support the IT area manager & service delivery manager. Log all support requests on helpdesk & resolve calls in a timely manor, in line with SLA Support with administration of IT Tools & systems Support, maintenance & repairs of end user devices Escalate issues to the 3rd line team Carry out checks & maintenance of IT suites Keep up to data hardware & software inventory Requirements This is a customer facing role where you will be supporting students, teachers and other staff members throughout the school in a face to face environment. Alongside strong technical IT knowledge, this role requires a friendly, outgoing personality with a can-do attitude and a willingness to help others. Experience working in an educational environment is highly desirable Experience working in a Microsoft environment Helpdesk experience Experience of O365 support Active directory administration Knowledge of network technologies & Windows servers A friendly, approachable and outgoing personality In return This is a full time, permanent position on site, with a salary on offer of £28,162 - £30,270.
