Staff Analytics Engineer

One of the world's largest retailers is looking for a Staff Analytics Engineer Salary : up to £100-110k ( 20% bonus, 7.5% pension) Location : Central London (3 office days/week) Role Overview You'll be the technical authority for less senior members of the team, coaching and mentoring them, whilst also helping the Analytics Manager with strategising, roadmap setting, and leading by example. In time, this position has a clear progression path into a formal Lead role. The Analytics Engineering team transform raw data into well-organised, tested and documented data models to help security teams gain insights, build reports, and develop advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to strengthen security. ✅ Must have requirements: Mastery of Python and SQL Ideally experience with both DBT and Airflow (although either one is acceptable) Extensive data warehousing and data lake experience - ideally with Databricks on Azure (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift is also acceptable) Experience implementing Data Quality metrics and ETLs Visualisation experience, ideally with Tableau Great communication skills Bonus points for: Experience working with security engineers/analyst and business stakeholders Infrastructure automation experience with Terraform Source code control experience with Git Having worked in global tech companies, global retailers and/or high growth scale-ups with progressive tech stack
