About the team: Walmart's AdTech Offsite Social Integrations team is seeking a dynamic and innovative, Staff Software Engineer to continue expanding our offsite and social presence. What you'll do : Lead engineering teams to plan, design, and implement offsite social AdTech integrations. Oversee and deliver hands-on engineering initiatives cutting across multiple inhouse and 3rd party solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UX, and business teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. Prioritize automation and scale without trading off performance and quality. Focus on engineering excellence while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget. Provide technical guidance, support, and coaching to team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Investigate and build proof-of-concept prototypes utilizing new technologies and drive their adoption within the mainstream product. Build, leverage, and analyze tools, application logs, and analytics data to determine improvements to the product and engineering services. Set high bar for operational excellence and system observability. What you'll bring: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering and technical lead roles. Proven ability to manage a team 2-3 delivering multiple projects concurrently. Prefer prior experience in AdTech space. 8 years of strong programming skills in Scala/Java/Python for building services, and SQL/No-SQL. 5 years experience with large scale software integrations, testing, performance, and quality engineering techniques and strategies. 4 years experience in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP. Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Excellent technical debugging and production support skills. Experience and/or interest in building tooling that makes your engineering colleagues successful Strong communication skills are necessary to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A strategic mindset to align technical initiatives with business goals is essential.
