Job Title: Software Developer - Intermediate Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract opportunity (250 days) Experience: 10 years Security Clearance or State Client Exp Job Description: Background Information: MTO Data and Information Services (MDIS) program is a central governing framework and plan to support the transformation of MTO into a data-driven organization that treats data as its greatest asset for delivering value to Ontarians. MDIS is establishing the foundation for an organization that is data-driven, innovative, client focused and future ready. MDIS empowers MTO to capitalize on existing data, improves information sharing, and develops better analytics to enhance government decision making. MDIS complements Ontario’s Data Strategy, which is intended to explore new opportunities for the use of MTOs vital data assets across the province. The Hub and Spoke Model is the recommended o rganizational model to support MDIS Program. The Model consists of the central team (HUB) residing in LTC IT Cluster and Integrated Delivery Units (SPOKES) residing in MTO divisions. Development of MDIS began in January 2020 with an agile and product-centric approach. The MDIS Strategy and Action Plan documents were released in June 2020 and shared and reviewed broadly across the ministry. MDIS defines 23 capabilities that are necessary to realize the MDIS outcomes. Deliverables section: The Services and Deliverables to be provided by the Vendor will include the following: · Web User Interface o Fully commented and functional user interface code for web-based solutions o Unit test code o Test code for automated UI tests · Application Programing Interfaces (API) o Exposing data via APIs o Instructions for developers on how to effectively use and integrate the API. · Backend Development o Code that allows a database and an application to communicate with one another · Source Code based on specifications. · Knowledge Transfer Sessions and documentation for technical staff related to designing and implementing the above stated Web User Interface Skill Set Requirements: Skills and Experience: 5 years experience with developing large-scale business applications 5 years experience with Agile delivery methodologies (i.e., Scrum) 5 years experience with developing and documenting Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Knowledge of Ontario Digital Services Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Solid business acumen, ability to dialogue with Business teams/leadership to understand their priorities/goals, with intense focus on delivering Business value Warm Regards, wariya.sirajvlinkinfo.com linkedin.com/in/wariya-siraj-7634b8169
