CONTRACT: Full Stack Java Engineers (AWS) - Banking - London

2 days in office, £500-£600 per day via Umbrella - Open to perm up to £85k Our client is looking for a Full Stack Java Engineer to join a cutting-edge project within the Commercial Banking sector . This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project, leveraging AWS to build cloud-native platforms and solutions. If you have a background in Java and AWS , we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications using Java and AWS technologies. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of key components for cloud-based systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security within an AWS environment . Work on cloud migrations, building, or enhancing cloud-native platforms. Requirements: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Java development. Strong knowledge and expertise with AWS (mandatory). Experience with building cloud-native applications or involvement in AWS migration projects. Familiarity with front-end frameworks is a plus, but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Prior experience in commercial or financial services sectors is preferred but not essential. Desired Skills: AWS certifications or strong experience with AWS-native services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS). Experience in building or migrating large-scale systems to the cloud. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of microservices architecture.
