BI Developer

BI Developer Our client is a large Financial Services company who are building out their data visualisation team, they are looking to bring on board a BI Developer to assist with the generation of new reports and also to assist with an ongoing cloud deployment that the business is going through Responsibilities within the BI Team: • Review, develop, and deliver high-quality BI reporting solutions (e.g., reports, dashboards, and financial reports) in line with agreed schedules and team standards. • Conduct thorough data analysis, followed by the design and implementation of data extraction processes and database repositories. • Ensure proper documentation and provide handover support to enable ongoing maintenance and development of BI solutions. • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document requirements. • Contribute to the ongoing management and improvement of the BI technical environment to meet service expectations and address known issues. • Share expertise and support knowledge transfer within the team to foster continuous skill development. • Actively participate in BI and business meetings, taking ownership of relevant tasks and following through to resolution in escalation processes. BI Business Support: • Engage with operational teams to understand requirements needed from new reports • Offer technical support and guidance to business teams to help them achieve their reporting objectives. • Present innovative technical solutions to enhance business reporting capabilities. • Reflect and promote IQUW's values in all interactions and day-to-day activities, ensuring professionalism, ethical conduct, and high-quality work in alignment with company standards. Essential Experience: • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, and ADO. • Strong proficiency in T-SQL development using MS SQL Server (from 2005 onwards). • Exposure to other back office languages such as Python or C++ • Experience in developing end-to-end Data Warehouse ETL solutions using MS Integration Services (SSIS). • Expertise in using MS Analysis Services (SSAS) for complex cube reporting solutions. • Extensive experience in building complex reports using MS Reporting Services (SSRS).
