Senior Network Engineer

Job Description Overview • Our mission is to provide the highest quality network engineering services possible • Deliver comprehensive, reliable and cost effective network engineering solutions in a multi-vendor, multi-platform environment • Ability to lead, train and support internal team members in support of operational activities in a critical fast paced data center environment • Supports assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation • Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth JD Summary : • Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally • Installation and support of enterprise class IT network in a test &production environment • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment • Manage and implement network projects, overseeing the installation and support of network communications • Understand and incorporate new network products into the MasterCard Operations environment All About You • Intermediate IT Experience, including being involved in IT projects on a full time basis • Networking, including LAN/WAN, wireless and Security technologies • TCP/IP protocol communications • Knowledge of Cisco’s product portfolio F5 big 5-LTM, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, CCNA or CCNP certified • Network Connectivity – IPv4, IPv6, port assignment • knowledge of F5 BIG-IP and VMWare AVI products preferred • knowledge of SSL and digital certificates • knowledge of load balancing HTTP/HTTPS • Understanding and utilization of high level Project Management methodologies and best practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Self-starter with good listening and interpersonal skills • Extremely detail oriented for all responsibilities • Displays work behaviors of high integrity and honesty • Able to take direction and follow established processes and procedures
