Eartheds mission is to make a meaningful impact on ecosystem restoration, climate mitigation, and the creation of regenerative futures through its dynamic e-learning platform, which offers community forums and ongoing support. As Earthed continues to expand its reach and influence, they are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Operations and Governance. This critical role will be instrumental in shaping and executing the operational strategy, ensuring that Earthed's initiatives are carried out with efficiency and maximum impact. The ideal candidate will be driven by the mission to support the growth of this inspiring organisation and help bring about positive change in the world. This is a full time role paying a salary of £48,000, although part-time arrangements will also be considered. Role Overview : The Head of Operations and Governance will play a critical role in scaling their operations and ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place. This role requires a strategic leader with hands-on experience in operational management, governance, CRM systems, technology, e-learning, and impact measurement. You will oversee the day-to-day operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure that their programs run smoothly and are fully aligned with their mission and values. Key Responsibilities : Operational Strategy : Collaborate with the team to develop and implement an operational strategy that supports the growth and sustainability of the charity; Streamline processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Ensure efficient project management across the organisation. Governance : Develop and maintain strong governance structures, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements; Ensure good data protection. Liaising with the Board: Working closely with the Chair and the CEO to prepare quarterly board reports and papers CRM & Technology Management : Oversee the management and optimization of CRM systems, leveraging technology to enhance donor engagement, program delivery, and internal processes; Be the point of contact for the tech; Ensure the organisation is utilising its technology systems internally as efficiently as possible Team Leadership : Support the team operationally, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and joy; Support team development; Ensure that each stakeholder contracts and team job descriptions are up to date; Oversee the use and efficiency of the organisational road map. E-Learning & Program Delivery : Work closely with program teams to design and deliver high-impact e-learning initiatives, using data to track outcomes and improve program effectiveness. HR: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment and compliance and supporting the CEO to lead on the quarterly reviews. Impact Measurement : Work with the Head of Development and Membership Manager to continue to measure and report on the impact of their programs, ensuring alignment with the companies mission and donor expectations. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring the long-term stability and success of the organisation. Qualifications : Proven experience in an operations leadership role, ideally within the charity or start-up sector. Understanding of and experience in membership based organisations Strong understanding of governance, including compliance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in using and managing CRM systems (specifically HubSpot) and other relevant technologies. Experience in tech companies Excellent communication, IT, systems and organisation skills with the ability to lead projects, manage changing demands, and prioritise deadlines. Interest in education and learning Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams and lead HR initiatives Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
