DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Ansible & Terraform Specialist) Location: London, UK (1 day onsite) Contract: 6 months with extension Rate: 500/day (inside IR35) Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with specialized expertise in Ansible and Terraform to work with a prestigious banking client. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and ensuring scalable, reliable infrastructure deployments. This is a critical role that involves collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of infrastructure solutions aligned with banking sector compliance and security standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Ansible: Extensive hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management, automation, and orchestration. Terraform: Proven ability to write, deploy, and manage Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning across multiple environments. Infrastructure Management: Experience with managing infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premises. Version Control: Proficiency in using Git for version control, including pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (especially for the banking or financial sector). Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell to automate tasks and processes. Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Development, Security). Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
