VP Business Applications (SAP)

About the Company Our client is a large multi-national manufacturing company looking to hire a VP of Business Applications for a hybrid full time position in Richmond Hill. About the Opportunity This role will be responsible for 3 areas across the enterprise: SAP ERP (transition to S4/Hana already in late stages), custom application development (Microsoft stack .NET/etc.), Data/BI (Microsoft stack Azure/Power Platform/BI/etc.) The role is expected to be 50% strategic and 50% tactical managing a total team of 40 distributed staff Lots of work is expected on strategy with bringing in new applications to satisfy business needs (dealing with executives), bringing in automation, AI and other new tech SAP area will be more execution vs strategy as the multi-year plan is already in place The CIO would like a metrics-driven leader, and a possible successor to himself in a few years Manufacturing industry exposure would be a bonus (or any other related industry where user base is less tech-literate) About You Proven progressive strategic Technology leadership positions in the Applications area (including budgeting, risk management, KPI-driven management, vendor management/selection, etc.) culminating in 5 years in a VP role Technology-related degree, 20 years of work experience Experience managing enterprise level large SAP environments (S4/Hana implementation experience is a plus) including Manufacturing/Supply Chain modules/processes Experience managing custom application development teams (Microsoft stack a plus) Experience managing Data/BI enterprise-grade environments (including data governance) Experience working in large multi-national organizations with large distributed teams Manufacturing/Supply Chain industry experience Good communication and presentation skills Ability to commute to Richmond Hill office 3 days/week Ability to travel to US/Europe (rare) Compensation range $200,000 – $300,000 CAD
