Senior Frontend Developer

Senior Front-End Developer My global Technology client is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer with in-depth experience and expertise in modern web development, particularly with React, Next.js, and CSS. This position will play a crucial role in the ongoing development of a main website that attracts approximately 9 million visitors annually. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development and maintenance of the primary website, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and an outstanding user experience. Apply responsive design techniques to create seamless experiences across various devices and screen sizes, utilising clean, maintainable, and efficient CSS and JavaScript for visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Integrate with both internal and external business systems via defined APIs, efficiently retrieving and utilising data. Implement best practices for code quality, including automated testing and continuous integration. Collaborate with designers and developers to enhance website performance and ensure UI/UX design feasibility. REQUIREMENTS: 5-8 years of hands-on development experience with semantic HTML, Sass/CSS, and JavaScript. Proficiency in modern front-end practices, including responsive typography, CSS grid layouts, and Flexbox alignment. Advanced development experience with React and Next.js, with a focus on static site generation optimised for speed and reliability. Ability to design and implement scalable and performant APIs using GraphQL, REST, and other protocols. Expertise in cross-browser and responsive implementation and testing. Experience in Design Systems a plus, but not essential The role is fully remote, with occasional travel to London, and is paying between £90k- £110k
