Technical Lead

Position Title: Technical Lead Location: DMV Area (Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience to oversee the delivery of technical solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements for federal projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven leadership in delivering solutions within a federal environment, with preference for candidates experienced in the Department of Homeland Security (Client). Key Responsibilities: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements. Act as the primary technical authority, guiding the team in aligning solutions with stakeholder expectations. Collaborate with program and product management leads to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions. Establish and enforce best practices in software development, system architecture, and technical documentation. Address and resolve technical challenges promptly to ensure project continuity and success. Lead technical reviews, including validation of compliance with federal standards and industry benchmarks. Qualifications: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in technical leadership roles, delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments. Experience working within Client or similar federal agencies is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Skills: Expertise in systems engineering, software development, or technical architecture. Experience leading large complex legacy modernization and cloud migration initiatives as lead architect or technical leader. Technical expertise in cloud native architecture, microservices, containers, Camunda, Java, Spring boot, EKS, AWS, RDS. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Proficiency in agile/SAFe, DevSecOps delivery methodologies. Exceptional communication and team leadership skills. Location: Must be local to the DMV area to facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders.
