QA Automation Engineer [Java] | FinTech, LDN [Hybrid] £50,000 - £60,000 [potential flex for the right candidate] We are working with a growing FinTech firm based in London who deliver institutional level solutions to highly sophisticated private investors. Due to significant and sustained growth in client and asset base, they are looking to add a QA Automation Engineer to their growing team. Ideally, the candidate will have 4 years of within a relevant practice. In terms of sector, the client is agnostic. However, having operated within the financial space is beneficial. They are looking for a well-rounded candidate who can demonstrate an entrepreneurial and “can-do” attitude. This is one of the most exciting FinTech firms to have launched in the last decade and already have significant assets on board. Perhaps best described as having the culture of a FinTech scale-up whilst delivering institutional level service to sophisticated investors. In this role, you would be working alongside a small team to ensure and enhance the software offering and develop automated testing solutions within the firm’s microservices architecture. You will be working across the whole QA lifecycle and working closely with the development and product stakeholders. Requirements: 4 years of commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer or in a similar practice. Demonstrable experience in Java and/or Kotlin , with proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium and RestAssured. Strong experience in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and automated testing for both UI and backend systems. Proficient in creating and maintaining test frameworks, with a solid understanding of API testing concepts and tools like Postman and Swagger. Familiar with database queries (SQL), performance testing, and application monitoring tools such as JMeter and Sentry. Comfortable working in Agile environments, contributing to fast-paced teams. Experienced in utilizing CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with development teams, with knowledge of tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Due to demand, we are advertising this role anonymously.
