Platform Architect

We are looking for a platform architect to lead design and configuration efforts of their event-streaming platform. This person will need to be responsible for architecture as well as performance optimization of the platform. Senior platform architecture experience within an enterprise organization Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design:Design and architect a robust event streaming platform that supports high-throughput, low-latency data streams. Develop architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps that align with business goals. Ensure the platform is designed for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. Technology Leadership:Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in event streaming and distributed systems. Advocate for best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. Collaboration:Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team. Performance Optimization:Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance for data ingestion, processing, and storage. Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure system health and performance. Security and Compliance:Ensure the platform adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement data encryption, access controls, and other security measures as necessary. Documentation:Create comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, APIs, and operational procedures. Provide training and support to engineering teams on platform usage and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Platform Architect or similar role, with a focus on event streaming platforms. Strong expertise in distributed systems, real-time data processing, and microservices architecture. Proficiency with event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Azure ASB, Eventgrid, Event hub Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes). Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards relevant to data streaming. Solid understanding of networking principles, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and storage solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about system design. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
