Automation Test Lead

TrueNorth are exclusively working with a stable and growing company on a transformation journey, who are looking for an ambitious candidate to lead a new function for the organisation. Following a successful merger, the organisation are looking to create a new QA Automation Team which will support each key area as well as work with a 3rd party supplier for augmented QA support in the future. We are looking for a Lead / Manager that comes from a hands on background (and doesnt mind getting involved in hands on at a high level). You will be responsible for: Recruitment, mentoring and leading a new QA team Creating a culture that promotes testing Hands on automated testing using a variety of tools Creating and improving processes and standards in test across the organisation Selecting and working with a 3rd party test services supplier Key skills and experience required: Extensive automation testing experience (Selenium, JUnit, C# etc) Exposure to security and performance testing Excellent stakeholder management and engagement, you will need to be comfortable being business facing in this role Experience of creating new strategies and processes with demonstrable experience of successful implementation and delivery Experience of being a lead or a manager of a test team / function Having worked in a regulated financial services or insurance environment is highly advantageous The role is paying circa £55,000 to £65,000 (dependant on experience) plus bonus and excellent benefits including at 15% pension contribution (market leading for a private sector role) It will be based from their newly refurbished central Newcastle office and will operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office.
