Senior Backend Engineer (Python) | £100 - £110k options London (just south of the river, 3 days a week in office, 2 from home) Troi Search are delighted to be working with this Post Series B company, that build bespoke RetailTech solutions. We're helping them search for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join a fast-growing, innovative team focused on building cutting-edge solutions in the demand forecasting and stock management arena. This role offers the chance to take full ownership of impactful features and play a key role in shaping the product roadmap. Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting : Develop and refine predictive models to enhance the accuracy of demand forecasts, influencing multiple aspects of operational decision-making. Supply Chain Optimization : Tackle complex optimisation challenges around inventory movement to ensure efficient stock levels across warehouses and retail locations. End-to-End Feature Ownership : Lead the development of new features from initial concept through to production deployment, with a focus on continuous improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with a range of teams to define, build, and deliver high-quality features that align with both technical goals and business needs. Code Quality and Best Practices : Write robust, scalable, and maintainable code with a strong emphasis on testing, version control, and continuous integration. Essential Skills: Around 5 years of professional experience in Python development A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field Strong proficiency in Python and writing scalable backend systems Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP , AWS, or Azure Solid knowledge of Pandas for data analysis and manipulation Familiarity with software testing best practices and writing clean, testable code Competency in Git, CI/CD, and working within large codebases Desirable Skills: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Exposure to TypeScript, ReactJS, or NodeJS Sound like you?
