Head of Engineering

Head of Engineering London/Hybrid I am currently partnering with a customer-centric organisation, who are looking to appoint a Head of Engineering to lead and shape their engineering function. In this role, you will oversee a diverse group of cross-functional development teams, including Full Stack, Android, and DevOps, all of whom are playing a crucial role in the company's headless commerce transformation. They are seeking a dynamic leader who can engage the broader team and drive high performance. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between the engineering team and senior management, effectively communicating engineering challenges, resource needs, and monitoring potential risks and issues. You will need: Experience providing strong leadership and guidance for a team of engineers – as well as the capability to mentor and upskill. Experience working on a migration from on-prem to cloud. Knowledge of wider tech, to be able to communicate effectively across different teams. Advantageous to have worked with Azure, Github or Terraform. Experience working within a retail environment.
