Infrastructure Design Engineer

Financial Services firm is hiring for an Infrastructure Design Engineer for their team based in Swindon. This is a permanent role and there is flexible hybrid working. In this role, you will be working with Database, Wintel, and Network Engineers, contributing to solutions across various application lifecycle stages, from concept to deployment and ongoing maintenance. They use Microsoft Technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server and .NET Framework. Responsibilities include: Design and Document infrastructure requirements within a project team. Infrastructure design for either our private cloud, one of the major cloud platforms, or integrating with a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider. Management of a small team of Engineers including Software and Wintel Engineers Skills and Experience include: Infrastructure design for Microsoft technologies Strong background in managing and developing Engineers Expertise in Clustering and High Availability Knowledge of SaaS integration patterns Experience with SQL Server, Windows Server, and data networking Awareness of Monitoring, Tuning, and Reporting for applications, databases, and network performance Effective stakeholder management and engagement skills Ability to diagnose problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Agile, and DevOps, and how infrastructure design supports these practices Please apply for immediate interview
