Our client in the advertising sector is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer eager to advance into a 3rd Line role within the next 12 months. This position is fully on-site and is based in Warrington. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will have the chance to engage with a wide range of IT solutions at a deep technical level. Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive Mac/PC and Server/Cloud support to various clients, as well as mentoring Junior IT Engineers by helping them resolve technical issues and expanding their knowledge base. Key Responsibilities: Provide desktop and mobile device support (Windows 10/11, Apple iOS). Manage server hardware configurations (HPE) and Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2016 and above). Support virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V) and handle Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Oversee backups, antivirus/malware protection, and Microsoft Office 365 administration. Ensure secure data transfers via SFTP and FTP, manage TCP/IP networking, and support VoIP telephony systems. Preferred but Not Essential: Experience with Cisco networking, firewalls, and switches. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL management and security standards like ISO27001. Possession of an Information Security qualification. Knowledge of Azure/AWS/Cloud services and Cybersecurity, including tools like CrowdStrike Falcon/Spotlight.
