Your Position & How You Will Contribute: Based in York Region in a hybrid working environment – Reporting to the Corporate Applications Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be creating and managing dashboards (PowerBI), corporate level reporting, providing valuable insights into metrics/user behaviors, and identifying areas for growth. They will be utilizing their expertise to transform data sets into compelling visualizations such as graphs, maps and charts. Responsibilities & Key Duties include: Responsibilities: Analyze business information requirements and develop proposed solutions. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and ensure applications meet business needs. Design and develop data models, dashboards, reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings. Develop and maintain Power BI elements including reports, dashboards and datasets. Prepare and update documentation for applications, processes, and procedures and reporting catalogue. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders. Write complex SQL queries. Assist in training end-users on application functionalities and best practices. Supports the business on KPI development and analysis. Manage relevant KPI’s (including sales, revenue, work orders, productivity). Conduct quality checks on visual content to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines Attributes: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with different parts of the business. Attention to detail and high aptitude for problem solving Very high personal standards, with an ethical approach to work, and a commitment to honesty and integrity. Capable team player with an ability to independently prioritize and problem solve. Commitment to excellence and transparency in maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and practices is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field (or comparable). Experience: 1 year experience with BI tools (proficiency in PowerBI dashboard creation and maintenance) 1 year of hands-on coding in SQL 1 year of experience as an Applications Analyst or similar role.
