Location: Maidstone Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Summary: The Structured Cabling Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of structured cabling projects within telecom and data center environments. This role requires a deep understanding of cabling systems, project management best practices, and strong communication skills to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for structured cabling installations. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure resource availability and project alignment. Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing project updates. Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and specifications. Technical Oversight: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for structured cabling systems. Oversee the installation and testing of cabling systems in telecom and data center environments. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and change orders. Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones and any potential issues. Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality control. Address any technical challenges that arise during installation, collaborating with engineering teams as needed. Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints. Track expenditures and provide regular budget updates to management. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Project Management, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience managing structured cabling projects, particularly in telecom and data center environments. Strong knowledge of cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA) and installation best practices. Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and teams. Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, BICSI) are a plus.
