Information Data Architect Circa £700 per day, Outside IR35 6-month contract initially Remote/Cambridge/Cheshire – Minimum 1 day a week on site We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Information Data Architect to join a global organisation operating within the Life Sciences sector. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in the concurrent running and harmonisation of multiple systems as the organisation transitions to a new system. Responsibilities: • Ensure data integrity and analytics remain unaffected throughout the transition. • Contribute to ground-level projects related to the company’s system migration, with a particular focus on finance-related projects within the data domain. • Provide expert guidance on the evolution of SAP systems, specifically the migration from ECC6 to S/4HANA. Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure changes at the source align with the enterprise data model. • Engage in data modelling activities and collaborate with other Information Architects and platform teams to ensure data objects are aligned within the conceptual enterprise data model. • Offer guidance on system changes, data architecture, and data object alignment. Be prepared to get hands-on with the technology, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transitions. • Collaborate with stakeholders at various levels to understand project requirements, system changes, and their impact on data architecture. • Utilise your coding background and architectural experience to understand system-level changes and provide practical, technical solutions. Collaborate with traditional system engineers, asking the right questions and getting involved in the technical details as needed. Skills & experience required: • Proven experience as an Information Data Architect, ideally within the Life Sciences sector. • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. • Extensive experience with SAP Finance, specifically in the transition from ECC6 to S/4HANA. • In-depth understanding of data modelling, enterprise data models, and data architecture principles. • Experience guiding engineering teams through complex system transitions. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Familiarity with traditional systems and legacy technologies within large enterprises.
